Technically this family would be the “Gall, Smith-Gall, Smiths”… but it’s really not as complicated as all that. Mary Katherine and Sarahanne are sisters and Andrew and Mary Katherine are married. Only Sarahanne appears on stage, but what you see on stage couldn’t happen without the direction and choreography of Andrew and Mary Katherine
Sarahanne, what is your favorite part of the play?
I love learning the harmonies to all the well known Christmas carols. Good harmonies are on e of my top ten favorite things in life.
Why on earth would you act in a play your brother-in-law was directing and your sister choreographed?
I must be absolutely insane.No. But really, it isn’t THAT bad. The three of us are quite some team. Plus, singing kind of runs in the family, so I always enjoy a good musical.
Mary Katherine, do you dance in your seat when you watch a number you’ve choreographed?
As my dance teachers an trainers before me, I do dance in my seat as I watch my dances on stage. To the untrained eye, it may look like squirming but it is in fact dancing as though to telepathically transfer moves, energy, and emotion onto the stage from my seat.

Andrew, every year is different, what is different this year that you are enjoying?
I think it becomes more meaningful every year. This year, because the cast is large enough, I was finally able to add the two scenes I’d originally written but had to cut out in previous years. I think those scenes add a lot. Every year it snowballs and gets bigger.
