We want YOU for a photo shoot!

Opening night of a show is always about the audience, but the opening night of A Christmas Carol is doubly so. If you’ve ever (secretly) dreamed of walking the red carpet and having your photo taken, this is your chance. Parkway Playhouse wants to feature real audience members throughout their 2014 season, so they have photographer Brian P. Streett lined up to take professional photos of anyone in attendance opening night (Friday, December 13).

Look your best, pose with a family member or friend, and be ready to smile. Come early to the show and have your photograph taken and you may have it selected for the 2014 advertising campaign. Some of these photographs will be featured on the Parkway Playhouse website and blog, in our newsletter and even our season brochure or playbill.

What makes Parkway Playhouse “locally grown” is not just the wealth of talent from the surrounding counties who perform on stage, but the vibrant arts-focused audience that supports one of the longest-running theatres in the state. 2014 is all about you, the audience.

Here’s a sample example of what we’re hoping to create:

This is just a fictional sample…

We’ll have a photo release form to sign and form on hand so you can fill out the relevant information about yourself.  We’re really hoping that our long-time patrons show up to be recognized in this way, but we’d also like to feature first time audience members!

This is ONLY on opening night, so be sure to spread the word, and get tickets for the performance.  Come early with your smiles!

Parkway Playhouse, located in the Appalachian town of Burnsville, NC, is a haven of theatre talent. While people come to the mountains to get away, Parkway Playhouse is a natural gathering place to connect. Likewise, we are an extension of traditional mountain talents: singing, dancing, and, foremost, storytelling. By giving rise to energetic new voices and through a wide variety of plays and musicals, we invite our audience into experiences that are thought-provoking, adventurous, and entertaining. Together we reimagine the world in every live performance, creating dynamic conversations that last far beyond the curtain call. This blog is will feature stories, helpful information, insight and features about the performances.
