Pictured in the photo are Maxwell Smoker (a Parkway Playhouse Junior performer who will be in Annie, Jr.) who designed an original pattern in his 4th grade math class at Burnsville Elementary for his teacher Erin Tipton (the block to the left of the chicken), Allyson Heidenfelder (parent of Parkway Playhouse Junior performers and a performer herself who has appeared in numerous Mainstage shows) who contributed the tragedy/comedy mask block, and Drew Smoker (a Parkway Playhouse Junior performer and 7th grader at East Yancey) who sewed the 9-patch block all by herself.

Imagine Yourself sleeping under this quilt when the weather turns cold!

Raffle tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at the Parkway Playhouse Box Office, Something Special Gift Shop (in Burnsville), or Fabrics in the Fray (in Spruce Pine). Several board members and Parkway Playhouse Junior parents also have tickets. The drawing will be held after the 7:30 performance of Annie, Jr. on May 23.

Really, the easiest way to get a ticket is when you attend one of Parkway Playhouse’s upcoming performances. See you there!

Parkway Playhouse, located in the Appalachian town of Burnsville, NC, is a haven of theatre talent. While people come to the mountains to get away, Parkway Playhouse is a natural gathering place to connect. Likewise, we are an extension of traditional mountain talents: singing, dancing, and, foremost, storytelling. By giving rise to energetic new voices and through a wide variety of plays and musicals, we invite our audience into experiences that are thought-provoking, adventurous, and entertaining. Together we reimagine the world in every live performance, creating dynamic conversations that last far beyond the curtain call. This blog is will feature stories, helpful information, insight and features about the performances.
