Q – What shows might people have seen you in before?
A – In the past year I have been with Parkway in the King and I and the Asheville Lyric Opera in both Don Giovanni and West Side Story.
Q – What is a typical day like for you?
A – My schedule changes from day to day so I’m not sure that I ever have a “typical day”. The one thing that stays constant is definitely practicing music for a few hours each day.
Q – What has been your favorite moment from rehearsals?
A – My favorite moment has to be each time we break out in song. I began playing bluegrass in high school and went on to major in music at Mars Hill. It has been a nice break from classical music while working on the music from Esley.
Q – What is your favorite song from the show?
A – I like any song that Esley sings. I love the blues and it is so nice hearing it played well!
Q – How does it feel playing an actual person?
A – It’s definitely a different experience. With a play like this one you want to be historically accurate while still making it your own.
Q – What’s the #1 reason someone should see this show?
A – People that live in Burnsville should see this play because it is so close to the heart. Lesley Riddle is an important piece of Burnsville’s history and the natives should know and be proud of this story.
