All Shook Up Actor Spotlight: Elijah Briggs (ENSEMBLE)

Elijah Briggs

Q – Why did you audition for All Shook Up?

A – Because I knew I would learn a lot about dancing and singing during the process of the show.

Q – What is a typical day like for you?

A – I go to school at Mountain Heritage High school, and I will be a Sophomore this coming year.  After school, I will probably be going to a rehearsal for whatever play I am in at the time, and then go home to eat dinner and sleep. I also take piano lessons, voice lessons, and sometimes I have soccer practice on certain days of the week.

Q – How is All Shook Up different from other musicals?

A – I think All Shook Up is different from other plays simply because of the music.  The play is about the music of Elvis Presley and how it affected the world, and I think this story captures that feel in a perfect way through young love, dancing, and singing.

Q – If you got to hang out with Elvis Presley for a day, where would you take him and what would you talk about?

A – I would probably go eat some place with him and ask questions, like what his child life was like and how he was inspired to write his songs, etc. Yes, I could probably look these things up online, but I think hearing “The King” say it himself in his own words would be better.

Q – What’s the #1 reason someone should see this show?

A – The number one reason to see this play is if you’re a fan of Elvis music and a fan of dancing & singing, this is the play for you.

Come see Elijah and the rest of the cast of All Shook Up July 25th-August 8th!
