From the Directors of Peter Pan, Jr.

One great week of Production Camp under their belts… and just a few more days to go to get ready for the big show! So, we thought we’d check in with the Directors/Teachers and see how it’s going. (We seriously hope the campers are having as much fun as the teaching team!)

Peter Pan Cast 1
The cast rehearses the song “Neverland”

I am incredibly impressed with not only the talent, but the already established work ethic of the kids.  They’re even utilizing their down time, running lines, working facials…

I was surprised that with such an age range in the cast how they have all embraced each other. They have really taken the word “ensemble” to heart. When I’m not caught up in the whirlwind of it all, I get a little teary watching them.

It continues to amaze me what creative, dedicated individuals can do in two weeks! The kids are designing the set (especially the waterfall) and helping to build it…

~Amy Weinmeister, lead teacher for the younger campers

These kids are great. I’m a huge PeterPan dork and when Meg came, we just knew she was perfect for the part. She is Peter Pan.

This cast is literally flying!

This is a very musically talented cast! I’m enjoying myself immensely.

We know you’ll enjoy yourself, too, so get down to Parkway Playhouse to catch one of the shows this weekend! You won’t believe how the stage and performers will be transformed with additional set pieces, props, and costumes!
