Each year we host a special event for our members and this year was our largest attended event yet. There was general socializing…
Guild Chair Deena Bingham took the opportunity to show off her husband Pierce.
Even the Parkway Playhouse cat showed up for a little love from Mayor Theresa Coletta.
There was plenty of yummy food, too. (Thanks to the many donors & sponsors.)
Then members were treated to a presentation about all Parkway Playhouse has done this season given by Executive Director Jeff Bachar and Operation/Production Manager Kristen Livengood. When it comes to theatre, these two really see eye-to-eye…
…except when they’ve “accidentally” swapped reading glasses.
Turner Weinmeister, who is very involved with the Parkway Playhouse Junior program, even got put on the hot seat for a bit— telling stories about his week on Broadway working on Matilda Jr. through iTheatrics and MTI (an opportunity he received when Parkway Playhouse Junior attended Junior Theatre Festival last January). He also has several mainstage shows under his belt… like On Golden Pond.
Then, members were treated to the last dress rehearsal before The Fox on the Fairway opened.
So… if you think the Dress(y) Rehearsal looks like a lot of fun and something you might like to do next year, be sure to become a member! Trust us, we’ll give you plenty of subtle reminders.
Regardless, you can come see this hilarious show this weekend or next!
