Alyssa Taylor is also among the talented class of rising freshmen. This is her second mainstage show this season!
PP: How did opening weekend go?
Alyssa: Opening weekend was awesome! We had a full house each performance! The show went great, and I think the audience loved it.
PP: Have you made any new pals during rehearsals?
Alyssa: I have made new friends, and reconnected with old ones. The cast is great, I love them. It’s great to have other kids in the show, along with adults. Seeing some of my old friends from previous shows has been great, and making new friends is always great.
PP: What is your favorite musical number? Why?
Alyssa: It is really hard to pick just one. I love “As Long As He Needs Me” and “Who Will Buy?” In “As Long As He Needs Me”, Nancy explains why she protects Bill. To me this song helps you understand part of Nancy point of view, and why she does what she does. Myra is also a very talented singer, and she gives me chills when she sings this. “Who Will Buy?” is a beautiful song, and sounds beautiful when everyone sings it.
Come hear these beautiful songs yourself! Ticket presales for this show are higher than usual, and Alyssa even mentioned the full houses on opening weekend… So, if you want particular seats, it would be worth your while to purchase in advance.
